About the show

Call Girls is a theatre show and a web series. The brainchild of Lauren Harvey and Kelly Hodge, audiences can expect a fast paced new addition to the hilarious lineage of relatable workplace comedies. With charismatic main characters inspired by Broad City and a biting tone that lampoons office bureaucracy in the style of the ABC’s Utopia, the show packs plenty of laughs and even more heart.

The duo met while studying at QUT, one of Australia's foremost acting institutions. While there they connected over their shared trauma of years working in call centres. As they swapped tales and laughed non-stop, the pair realised they had to tell this story. So, screaming and (laugh) crying, the Call Girls were born.

The 55 minute comedy had its debut season as part of the Brisbane Fringe Festival 2022. It resonated with audiences and received glowing reviews. Following the successful season Exit Ghost. Productions approached Lauren and Kelly to adapt the story for the small screen.

The web series shot in early 2023, and is available now on Youtube.

The theatre show will return to the stage on tour at Adelaide Fringe in 2024.
